Epigenetic age acceleration, as the researchers refer to it, is when the biological age is higher than the chronological. Since it is \u201ca DNA methylation-based marker of fast biological aging,\u201d it can be attributed to different factors and habits that an individual practices daily.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The study looked at 622 adults. The average age was 69 with more than half being women. What they found was that females were more like to experience age acceleration. More research is required to determine why.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
